minutes remaining

I can’t remember the last time I felt so challenged before even getting started. I’ve been unsettled, as if I’m drowning while trying to navigate this ocean of information and technology..

The World’s Greatest Salesman — along with a couple of supportive people — are the main reasons I’m still here. I first read this little book back in my twenties, but this time around, Scroll 1 is shaking me to my core, and I welcome it.

A call from another participant gave me the guidance I desperately needed, so I no longer feel like I’m drowning. She reminded me that I’m only in five feet of water, not lost in the ocean — I just need to stand up. Even still, I’m only 5 ft tall, treading water as best I can.

I’m somewhat frustrated with the process and myself for starting this journey, yet I feel drawn to it. I have no rainbows or unicorns to offer, but I’m still here.

  • Thanks for your honest report, Audrey! I love these words especially: “A call from another participant gave me the guidance I desperately needed, so I no longer feel like I’m drowning. She reminded me that I’m only in five feet of water, not lost in the ocean — I just need to stand up. Even still, I’m only 5 ft tall, treading water as best I can.” Watch for those rainbows and unicorns that are on the way! 🙂

  • Welcome to the MKE! I love that you have found support and a reminder that you are not drowning after all!

  • A true sign of a leader with integrity is to listen to the people we know are trying to help us and to take that advice! Good for you. ‘Opportunities are usually disguised as hard work, so most people don’t recognize them’. You are recognizing! So glad to have you in the class.
