Week 8 Blog
Potholes or Smooth Road?
For me, the struggle is real. Life is life! I get busy with day-to-day commitments like everyone else. But I’ve discovered something powerful: DO IT NOW. I repeat it 25 times at the prescribed times throughout the day, and as I complete my requirements.
And let me tell you — “subby” has gotten the hang of things. Whenever I’m debating whether to complete a task or blow it off, there it is, urging me: Do it now. Do it now. Do it now.
Week by week, I can really see the changes in myself. I’m chipping away at the cement — and trust me, it must have been the extra-heavy-duty industrial grade. The blueprint revisions are many, but I’m amazed by everything I’m learning.
Honestly, I feel like a 1958 Chevy that’s been sitting in a garage for decades. Now it’s time to tear it off the frame, strip it down to the bare metal, add new suspension front and rear, install a supercharged L6, mount fresh tires and rims, and finish it with a paint job like you’ve never seen.
That’s the level of restoration happening inside me.
I’m also practicing the concepts from OG in Scroll II. This LOVE thing is seriously powerful — silently saying “I love you” to everyone you meet. And this week, it showed up in a big way.
I had a doctor’s appointment and did everything right: got up early, got ready, left on time. But my fancy car’s electronics had other plans. Long story short, I arrived nearly an hour late.
When I checked in, the receptionist pointed out the time, and I explained — with love — what had happened. I asked if he could check whether the doctor might still squeeze me in. A few minutes later, she agreed.
Once I was in the exam room, she told me that normally, someone that late would be asked to reschedule. But after hearing about my situation, she decided she didn’t want to make an already challenging day even harder for me. She said, “That’s love.”
And she was right.
As for me, I will stay the course — and choose LOVE every single day, for everyone.
That’s all for now.
Peace be the journey,
Larry Russell

“Wow, Larry! ‘Do it now’ is clearly working its magic. To have Subby fully on your team, urging you forward, is a massive win. And what a incredible demonstration of the power of love! You didn’t get frustrated, you led with love, and it completely transformed the outcome of your day. That receptionist felt it, and you got the proof. Keep staying the course—that restored ’58 Chevy is going to be a masterpiece!”
