Saturday Afternoon………..Snowed in………………….App open………………………nothing worth touching…………No money to be made.

On paper, this should’ve been one of those afternoons where frustration wins by default. The kind where you stare at your phone waiting for something to change, even though you know it probably won’t.

But Week 16 had other plans….

What is interesting…and not lost on me…..is that Last week I was looking for Equanimity. Not success. Not outcomes. Not money. Just balance. The ability to stay steady regardless of what the environment decided to do.

……..and then today happened……………….Let’s start with what didn’t happen…… Instacart didn’t suddenly turn generous . The hidden batch pile stayed…. hidden. Not miracle swipe. No dramatic turnaround. And yet….somehow….this turned into one of the more supported day’s I’ve had in a while..

Just not from the place I was staring at

Earlier today, Frank texted me to let me know he had placed just enough BV in one of business development centers – which quietly triggered a $500 check for me.

No hustle.
No Scrambling.
No forcing the issue.

I was literally snowed in…and the system Still moved.

It didn’t feel like reward for effort. It felt more like confirmation for steadiness.

Then there was Cheryl.

She gifted me a 2-month plus pass for Marco Polo….and what made the meaningful wasn’t the features. It was the context.

She mentioned she’d been concerned the tribe hadn’t heard from me in a while. The irony was that I had pulled back intentionally. Not disengaging – just making space. I didn’t want to overstep or dominate the conversation.

Turns out the consistency I worried about overusing was actually missed….the gift wasn’t just access. It was feedback.

Sometimes equanimity isn’t about disappearing – it’s about trusting that your natural rhythm belongs.

Later today, my ex-wife Terra emailed me. The tone was complicated – part frustration, part vulnerability – and she shared she was having a bad day and need to talk.

I didn’t analyze it.
I didn’t escalate it.
I didn’t shut it down

I simply replied….Give me a call……I Got You..

Week 16 isn’t loud.
It doesn’t flex.
It doesn’t announce itself with fireworks.

It asks the quieter question…….

Who are you when money, connection, and opportunity all tug at you on the sane day?

Today, I didn’t chase.
I didn’t collapse.
I didn’t demand proof.

And three different forms of support showed up anyway……Financial……Social………and Emotional. None of them came from the place I was staring at.

So no – I didn’t get snowed in today……I got slowed down just enough to notice that everything still moved,………….and that………..apparently, is what Equanimity looks like when it pits on boots and shows up anyway.

  • That’s exactly right, Todd, what Equanimity looks like, just when you are steady, quiet, and still, this amazing harmony and peace comes over you and you notice things differently. Isn’t it beautiful and amazing to be in that state of mind and heart?

  • Awesome post Todd and it’s always great to get your Polos so I’m grateful for your consistency.

  • “Who are you when it all tugs at you?” Incredible reflection, Todd. The support that found you is proof of your alignment. Well done. 🔥

  • 😄 Snow outside, nothing popping in the app… meanwhile Life’s like, “Relax, I’ve got the back channels covered.”
You stayed steady, and life met you there—quietly, precisely.
That’s equanimity in action: not forcing the moment, trusting your rhythm, and discovering that support doesn’t stop just because snow stops you!
    Yay.

  • Wow Todd,
This is incredible. We have missed your contribution for sure. Kid of you to think about others, and not traipsing over, but in the process maybe let your worth slip, forgetting your golden buddha as well. Thanks for this incredible share.
