MKE 19 – Staying True in Intense Weeks

Some weeks are intense.

Full schedules. Multiple projects. Tight deadlines. And on top of that challenging colleagues. I sometimes call them “earth angels in disguise”, the ones who test your clarity, your boundaries, your self-leadership.

The difference is: I no longer get pulled into it.

Within a very short time, I managed to set clear and factual boundaries, calmly, professionally, within the team. I left the issues where they belong. No carrying things for others. No emotional overextension.

That alone saves an incredible amount of energy and time.

I also no longer fall into the “distraction trap.” When others try to pull focus away from what truly matters, I stay centered. That is a powerful shift.

And then there is something else.

I tend to sense things very early, often before they actually unfold. You could call it being highly intuitive or perceptive. It has been this way since childhood. I cannot always logically explain it, I simply know.

Sometimes people interpret that as “wanting to be right.” But that is not the point at all.

When situations eventually unfold exactly as sensed, it can make others uncomfortable. Not because of me, but because reality confronts them before they were ready to see it. Systems resist disruption.

But this is not about being right.
It is about being aligned.

Following what I truly perceive.
Trusting my inner compass.
Remaining loyal to myself.

And that feels powerful.

Because in the end, it’s not about managing everyone else.
It’s about staying true to who I am.

And that is more than enough.

  • Oh yes, that’s enough indeed! One of the biggest and most perverse illusions with which the River of Dreams could trick us, is to make us believe that we are “not enough”…You definitely seem to have dispelled that illusion from your life, that’s a great achievement in itself, well done Dorothea!

  • “Powerful shift indeed, Dorothea! Staying centered when it truly matters—that’s MKE living. Love this!

  • This is real growth Dorothea.
You’re staying calm, setting clean boundaries, and refusing to carry what isn’t yours. That’s powerful self-leadership.
Most of all, you’re trusting your inner compass without needing to prove anything. That’s alignment and trusting that foundation you are building.

  • Well done! This resonates with me. The Emerson quote in the graphic fits well: “What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you.”
