I am here with Carrie Poulsen today to see for myself what all the hype is about.

Many have already discovered this hidden gem. Now it is my turn. Through a friend of a friend I began hearing about this small camp ground or Glamp-Ground as it is called that feels like you have stepped into another world. Each camp site is specifically designed by Carrie and her family to bring out the kid in everyone.

The idea being that as a child we were free and open to new ideas, silly play and mind expansion. It has become the place to go to gather your thoughts, unplug from the race and rediscover yourself. Each provides a unique experience. There is a glamorous tent site for those who want to camp but do not have the supplies nor time to set it up.

A primitive tent site for those looking to rough it a little. An old time camper sending you back to the 1960’s when love and peace where the main topic of conversation, and a larger more modern RV if you feel the need for some luxury. Most of the resources to build have come to her through unexplained channels.

From the sounds of it she is possibly a magician. “I’m not magic, Life is magic!” she said “It’s the law of compensation. Give more get more, its simple. I see abundance everywhere!” More experiences are being added as we speak because the demand is so great. A central bathhouse, shower facility and meeting place are a masterpiece in the works.

All structures on site are build by her son, herself and her family creating a show house for the ability and versatility of her sons business, Kyle’s Custom Outdoor. Everything is a thing of unique beauty. But the most magnificent features of this property come from nature. “The opportunity to save a slice of natural Florida was a not brain-er for me.” She said.

Huge Ancient Southern Live Oaks stand strong surrounded by every other tree you can imagine. The forest is full of wildlife that has been here for ages. “We know they were here first. Therefore, we strive for minimally invasive expansion. Working with nature, not against it.”

The airs is filled with nothing but the sound of the leaves rustling from the breeze and the squirrel and birds talking with each other. It is a symphony in itself.

There are fulfillment activities provided by outside sources creating a mutually beneficial situation, participate or not, bring a group or come alone, its all up to you. As this will become a family business in the future she makes sure every detail is attended to.

The bountiful garden house is shared and worked by everyone again creating a mutually beneficial harvest for all. The love for our chickens who provide us with fresh eggs, and the few animals that also found refuge on the property enhance everyone’s time here in so many ways. They are all so adorable in their own way.

I asked about the house on the property with its long breezy front porch and tropical pool area. The deep sounds of the wind chimes and the soothing sounds of the waterfall drew me in, giving off a sense of tranquility.

The house is bright, open and inviting. “This is the cherry on the top of the whole thing. In this house lives the most gracious, loving family with the skills necessary in helping maintain this beautiful property.” Another mutually beneficial situation. “I love when that happens!!

My life is filled with synchronicity just like that. I needed someone capable here while I am away. And POOF. Its magical!” she said. Turns out Carrie also has a family property in Michigan where she is lucky enough to escape some of our hot summer days into the woods of Michigan where family has gather for 6 generations.

“I spend at least 3+ month there every summer. Life is good, I am grateful” She says

I couldn’t help but notice that Carrie is the epitome of True Health. Her lifestyle encompasses all that is necessary for a life well lived. An abundance of locally sources healthy foods, daily strengthening routines for her body and mind, fresh air and the immense fulfillment she feels from providing this sanctuary to all that need it.

Life has thrown her a few massive curve balls in the last 5 years. I won’t go into detail but all were enough to bring a grown woman to her knees. The picture that remains on her living room wall reads “Grateful in any circumstance”.

“As hard as that is to live by especially with events that are devastating, it is absolutely necessary. You don’t run around happy about things that have happen but you must seek some kind of gratitude for your own sanity” She said

Carrie has forever dreamed of providing a place for those who are lost to come a find refuge, acceptance and unconditional love in hopes that it would spark something inside them to search for their own power and create a new life for themselves filled with the thing they dream about. But first she had to get past her own fears and limitations.

Upon finding the Master Key course she found the tools to create her dream without fear or limitations. It still a work in progress but things have shifted for her from within. A fact that I did not know is that 90% of life is created from your unconscious or subconscious mind. This mechanism brings to life the story you believe to be true.

“All that is necessary is to rewrite the program you are playing in there.” She said. She knows unequivocally that if all of life comes from within and if you cant quiet the constant noise that surrounds you; media, family and worst of all, our own head, you can never find for own true self and the innate power that is yours.

She reminds me that we are all born with the power to think and feel our lives into existence, we are all doing that right now. All we have to do is recognize it, take possession of it, and use it to do good for yourself and others around you.

Currently she has the opportunity to take care of her mother and step father in their later years that allowed her walk away from her previous career that what all consuming. She also knew that this opportunity would not last forever and she needed to create future income for herself.

The combination of that and her own need to go someplace quiet to catch her breath reignited the dream to provide a safe, quiet place for all who need to catch their breath.

Even though Carrie does not watch much television she knows that this world is in a bit of transition causing great troubles for most of the population. She feels that her greatest contribution is providing a place to allow others to find peace within themselves.

The rumors are true. Even as you drive down the long winding driveway lined with beautiful trees the sense of peace and acceptance overtakes you, its palpable. I highly recommend the Glamp-Ground. You will most certainly leave refreshed.
