Patience – I Persist Until I Succeed

I swallow the seeds of success buried in each and new life sprouts within me. Og Mandino, The Greatest Salesman in the World

Og’s line is so inspiring to me, but at the same time, I smirk: “ At $2.99/lb, maybe a few more grapes (the green ones are the best) and success will come quicker!”

I want to be successful NOW! I want my DMP here NOW!! Oh no, here I go, I need the Law of Substitution quick! Let me sit, let me breathe, let me get some self-confidence: “Subby, I’m so grateful for connections, great people I meet, tell my story to, thank you”.

The more I am grateful, the more good things are happening. I’m meeting more people, telling more stories, making a difference. It’s amazing.

But there is so much more I could do, doubts set in “why can’t I get my act together and how did I miss the midday read?” Oh no, here I go, I need the law of Substitution again: “Subby, don’t be like that, where’s the happy place?”

Ahhh, here it is: my new real estate, beautiful Lake house paid in full, ducks swimming on the water” I’m so much better.

This roller coaster of emotions can really get the best of me at times. But Og tells me: “I must practice the art of patience for nature never acts in haste”. I am doing it. I am patient. I’ve caught myself getting frustrated when progress feels slow.

I start comparing myself to other people, wondering why their success seems to come faster. But every time I hit that wall, I think about Og’s reminder: “I [-] persist until I succeed.”

Things are happening now, and great things happens tomorrow, and the next day. I am so blessed. I’m riding the roller coaster while learning patience on the road to success.
