To everything there is a season to everything there is a time. This timeless truth from Ecclesiastes rings even more potent when you look at the seasons of life as described in Chapter 16 of Haanel.
I am now in my 64th year and I have gone through all of the seasons…apparantly…but, he says it starts all over after the 49th year. A new infancy and a new adolescence and now I am poised on a new adulthood.
For far too long I have bemoaned the passing years with ever increasing pains and fears that age would make me a cripple and I would be less relevant than I have ever been in my life.
It keeps me looking back and longing for the past instead of using my past experiences to derive a new strength and purpose.
Now, I have a new clarity. I have a new purpose. The pains of the past are gone not because of some miracle FURU (fake guru) but because I have begun to think.
I ask questions and I am once again in awe of creation itself. I find it very difficult to feel negative towards my fellow man and woman because the same miracle that is inside me is inside of everyone and it is just waiting for unfoldment.
I live in a place where there are flowers all the time. Before you see the flower…you see the bud. Before you see the butterfly…you see the cocoon. The beauty is in there. It’s inside. It is just waiting to unfold.
Through our daily gratitude comes kindness and the kindness is the fertilizer for the flower that is to come.
All hail the Metaphor!!!

Michael, “kindness is the fertilizer for the flower that is to come”. This is beautiful. Thank you.
You are unfolding…and kindness is the fertilizer. Thank you
From bud to flower. From thought to unfoldment. Brilliant perspective, Michael. The miracle is within. Thank you! 💫
“To everything there is a season to everything there is a time.” Love that saying!!
You’re not aging—you’re “unfolding”. With clarity, curiosity, and gratitude, this new season isn’t a closing chapter but a fresh beginning. The wisdom you carry is the soil, and what’s emerging now is beautifully alive. (Spoken as a gardener 😄)✨
I always say, if you aren’t growing, you are dying…Focusing on gratitude always raises our vibration and awareness to the wonders around us. Truly magical
