I Continue to Persist

Week 10 is rolling along just fine—well, as “fine” as anything can roll with Thanksgiving, travel, prep, family commitments, and the annual food-induced coma that follows. But through the chaos, I remembered to do my Best… not just the best I can.

My mind feels more open than ever, and I’m discovering wonderful things about myself every single Week day. There used to be a commercial that said, “A mind is a terrible thing to waste.”

Whew—did I not realize how true that was until the MKE class started peeling back layers I didn’t even know I had.

We spend more hours watching our favorite shows, football, or anything that lets us zone out… yet almost no time learning how our magnificent, miraculous brains actually work. Well, let me tell you—those days are coming to a dramatic halt. Not without a fight, though.

After more than 50 years of listening to the old blueprint, my brain isn’t exactly surrendering like a polite guest. But I’m chipping away at that cement one conscious thought at a time… tap, tap, tap.

The scrolls have become a source of real comfort for me—especially Scroll II. It has transformed the way I look at life.

Hope, Love, and Charity… and as the Good Book reminds us, the greatest of these is LOVE. And then there’s the anthem that keeps me moving: I will persist until I succeed.

Today, I had to lean hard on one of the Seven Laws of the Mind—the Law of Substitution. I received word that my college roommate and dear friend of 50 years made his transition.

The negative thoughts tried to rush in, as they do, but I immediately replaced them with memories of all the joy, laughter, and good times we shared. Then the Law of Dual Thought kicked in, too—I felt genuine peace knowing he is in a better place, free from suffering.

Barry was the glue in our group, the one who kept us connected. His presence will always be with us.

Well folks, that’s it for now.

We’ll see you next week—same Bat time, same Bat channel.
Peace be the journey,
Larry Russell
