Culture Shock & Commitment
This week was a bit of a mix-up for me. I accidentally jumped ahead and read Scroll II instead of continuing with Scroll I — so there’s that. I even submitted week 2 blog on time, just on the wrong chapter of OG.
Lesson learned: I’m back to re-reading Scroll I for the full 30 days, just as it’s meant to be.
Honestly, the culture shock of this whole experience is still real. Keeping up with all the reading, writing, and assignments (both the inner, honoring kind and the hands-on kind) is stretching me in new ways.
On top of that, I’ve had some technical struggles-navigating website, confusion around submitting my DMP, and the sneaking suspicion that it’s probably formatted wrong anyway. Still, I keep reminding myself that it’s all part of the process.
The universe seems to agree! Those little blue rectangles keep popping up everywhere like winks from above, reminding me of my weekly chore deadline.
The phrase “Do It Now” has really stuck with me. I catch myself saying it often — sometimes even more than what class asked us to focus on. It’s become a quiet push in the right direction.
Sitting still for the prescribed time has been hard, I’ll admit. But I’ve found comfort in doing it my own way, usually in a hot bath, candle flickering nearby, just me and my thoughts settling in.
Even with the hiccups, I’m all in. I’m here for real change and for the effort it takes to make it happen.

You’re gifted to be so aware so early in the MKE! Cheering you on to more and more communications with the universe…
Stacie! Thanks for being so candid about all the cement you’ve been chipping! I love your description of the assignments as “both the inner, honoring kind and the hands-on kind”–and your telling us your unique way of doing the sit so that others who’ve not tried that might! I also love your framing finding the blue rectangles as affirming “winks from above.”
Winks from above. Thank you Stacie!
I love the universe communicating with me!
Excellent, Stacie! I especially love the line: “Those little blue rectangles keep popping up everywhere like winks from above, reminding me of my weekly chore deadline.” Winks from above – yes!
