MKE Week 2 – Taking the plunge

Since deciding to go ahead with Master Key Experience (MKE), I have been in a state of panic, fear and doubt  leading to an almost state of paralysis. I was reading and listening but not understanding, becoming more confused, overwhelmed, distracted.

The conversation in my head went like this …

What in the world have you done? Why did you sign up for this? And you were late … you missed the very first meeting, the Sunday night call, you’re useless with tech! you couldn’t even decide how to go through the site with a cool, calm collected attitude! You don’t
even like journaling or blogging!

But I know for sure I’m good at sitting still. I’m used to doing intentions and affirmations. I love listening and reading at the same time, I am better at learning when I do both together.

That voice again … Then you totally forgot about the first Monday night meeting! You’re useless! Just give up, you can’t do it .. you have too many problems … don’t add more!

NO! I’ll have another go. …

So, Tuesday early, before dawn I start going through and downloading all the documents. Then late Tuesday night start watching and listening to all of videos again and still not feeling “I’ve got this.”

Then something happens on Wednesday when I listen … I realise I need this course it will give me everything that’s been missing in my learning since I started online courses … and the books! those books, they’re some of my favourite books … what a gem!

I’m going to have a guide and a team to help and support me! Yay! I think this course is going to help me deal with discipline, organisation, focus, overwhelms… and most of all procrastination.

Procrastination has been the thorn in my side since I was a young child and as the years have gone by perfection, fear was added to this bad habit followed by avoidance so as not to do what needs to be done.

This week hearing procrastination mentioned I realised I procrastinate because I want perfection and the fear getting anything wrong goes back to my early schooldays. Wow! Self-discovery here I come!

  • Wow, Judith, you got it, “Self-Discovery”, absolutely! I loved how you described your mental processing here clearly as you’ve noticed your cement talking to you and then witnessing that cement falling off when you became aware and corrected your own thinking process. This is powerful, isn’t it?
