Over these 48 hours of silence and prayer, I intentionally stepped away from all distractions and entered into stillness. I stayed in a hotel with no TV, no phone, no computer, and no outside input, nothing except my Bible, my journal, and Og Mandino’s The Greatest Salesman.

In that space, I was able to reflect deeply and connect more closely with God.

In the quiet, I consistently received reminders of purpose. I was reminded that there is greatness within me, and I also recalled a vision that had been spoken over me of light beaming upward from my waist and children at my feet.

Scripture guided so much of this experience. I was reminded that God speaks in a still, small voice, and I saw clearly that my gifts are meant to serve others and build faith, hope, and love.

This time also deepened and renewed my desire and love for reading the Word directly from the pages of my Bible. I also recognized growth within myself mentally, physically, and spiritually. I feel stronger, less anxious, and more aware of God in my everyday life.

There were meaningful moments connected to my family, especially in honoring a legacy of faith and stepping into spiritual authority through prayer, particularly for my mom. As a side note, she experienced a breakthrough in her health during my time of silence.

One of the most tender parts of this time was my connection with my husband. Each night he came to stay with me, and each morning he brought me breakfast so I could remain in silence.

I felt a prompting within me that led me to look out the window at just the right moments, and both times I saw him arriving. Those moments felt deeply significant, and I gained a deeper appreciation for him. I have a greater awareness of his presence and care.

My dreams revealed areas of responsibility, protection, and discernment, especially concerning my children, while also showing me the importance of trust and release.

I also realized that while silence is powerful, I often hear God clearly in familiar, peaceful places, like near the water. That awareness brought clarity to how I best connect with Him.

Verses like “Be still and know that I am God” reminded me to surrender, while others encouraged me to keep going and not grow weary in doing good. I feel a strong desire for God to use my voice for His purpose, to build, to plant, and to speak as He leads.

As I transitioned back into my daily responsibilities, I carried a sense of peace with me. Even in unexpected tasks, I felt calm and accepting.

This time was marked by clarity, surrender, spiritual affirmation, and a renewed commitment to walk in faith, trust, and purpose.
