This week I got an email from a newsletter I’ve been subscribed to for a while. As I scanned through it, I realized I was not interested in the subject at all. Maybe in the past it had an appeal for me, but not currently and not for the person I am becoming.
Unsubscribe.
A charge came through on my debit card for a monthly service, and I cancelled it. This is not where I want to put my resources, be it financial, mental, or my time.
I choose to put them in a different place.
As I reflected on these two small but impactful changes, I realized my comfort zone is changing, but it is not expanding. I am being more careful about what I allow in my life, what I give my time and attention to, what I focus on.
And I like this comfort zone.

I love this, Darnelle! Being mindful about where you put your time, money, and energy is a wonderful way to make the most of life. Well done!
