This weeks assignment involves scheduling a few day of silence. No phone, no books, no computer, no conversations. Ugh! As I work on scheduling this event I come up with excuse after excuse.
I have responsibilities, how much will it cost, don’t want to burden the people around me… Then my next observation is how much I am addicted to the distractions. I am currently unable to sit and do nothing.
I find a book, my phone, a puzzle, the TV, clean something, organize… Anything to stay busy and not be ALONE with MYSELF!! How did it come to this? Now that I have made the commitment I have to say I am quite nervous about the silence. It doesn’t make sense.

Breathe..and enjoy!!!!
You make a great observation Carrie. It’s amazing how much we rely on the ‘external’ world.
Breathe into it, enjoy oneness with your soul.
You may even want to extend the silence as it feels so good??
ALONE with YOURSELF, Yes, that’s it, Carrie. This is going to be a greatest gift you can give to yourself! You can do it!
ssshhhhh
