Mental Diet – Great idea, thank you for this exercise!
I observed myself from a “bird’s-eye view.” What a challenge to keep it up all day, honestly!
Surprisingly, it was quite easy for me at work to see everything in a positive light. What emerged for me was space, wonderful space. I realized that every time I give my attention to criticism, annoyance, or other people’s behavior, I give away my energy. It feels liberating to keep that energy for myself.
So much for the work situation. At home, however, it’s a completely different story:
“Mom, can you quickly fix my rain jacket? I’m flying to England tomorrow, and I really need it.”
The middle one: “Where’s my rowing suit? Can you please wash my training clothes quickly? I’m leaving for training camp tomorrow.”
The youngest: “When’s dinner?”
And I would also love to write my DMP in peace!
Alright, this must be manageable, with ease and joy. I breathe slowly and calmly and apply the Eisenhower Principle: focus on what’s most important and urgent first, and see what can be delegated. Clear communication and not falling into stress or irritation, that’s the key.
The next morning, I wake up happy and grateful that my family is well and that I can carry the torch high.
Still, the family field seems to be the most challenging one for me. The “mental diet” is something I will continue to practice and refine.

Congratulations Dorothea, your shift in consciousness is admirable. Your subby can now create that space you are asking for!
