Lately, I’ve been thinking about the snake a symbol of transformation, rebirth, wisdom, and resilience, and how it doesn’t fight the process of change. When it’s time, it simply spends it’s time rubbing against the rough edges of its environment, and lets its old skin fall away. Vulnerable for a moment, yes, but freer, lighter, and ready to grow.
I’ve realized I’m in my own shedding season. There are versions of me that once fit perfectly, or seemed to anyway, old habits, reference points, and ways of being that kept me safe. But now, they feel restrictive, like skin that’s outlived its purpose. Holding onto them only keeps me from expanding into who I’m becoming.
Letting go isn’t easy. Growth rarely is. It asks for honesty, courage, and a willingness to step into uncertainty without knowing exactly what comes next. But beneath every layer I surrender to and release, there’s something better waiting, a self that’s more aligned, more alive, and eager to grow.
I am welcoming this transformation. I’m choosing to shed the weight of what no longer serves me and trust the process of renewal. Like the snake, I’m stepping forward, vulnerable, brave, and ready to grow.

Your courage and willingness to do this course helps you to align to all that is better for you! Congrats Jessica.
The cement is cracking and the gold is shining through! Thank you.
I could feel the skin falling off of you as I read your blog. What a great insight using a snake to compare your new you breaking free! I, too, loved this phrase: “Vulnerable for a moment, yes, but freer, lighter, and ready to grow.” I loved this phrase.
Good analogy. I’m glad you’re on the journey!
Wow, lovely blog, Jessica. I really appreciated your analogy of snake shedding skin to your personal growth journey. It totally makes sense. “Vulnerable for a moment, yes, but freer, lighter, and ready to grow.” I loved this phrase.
