Week three has me rethinking everything I thought I knew about how life works. The central idea is simple yet profound: your thoughts create your reality.
Learning that thoughts aren’t just something that happening quietly in my mind, but that it is pure energy. And that energy shapes the experiences, relationships, opportunities, and even the obstacles that show up in my outer world.
At first, this idea felt almost too mystical to take seriously. How could something as intangible as a thought influence something as concrete as my life circumstances? But as I’ve sat with this concept, I’ve started to realize that it’s not as far-fetched as it sounds. The Bible does say, “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” (Proverbs 23:7).
I have heard that energy can’t be destroyed—it only changes form. So, if thoughts are energy, they must be influencing the energy field around me in some way. The more I think about it (no pun intended), the more I begin to see small examples of how this has already been true in my life.
I have walked into a room and could feel bad vibes from people. Or when I am around someone who is always complaining or grumbling, it makes me feel bad. Some people do radiate more positive energy, and they are delightful to be with.
That realization is both empowering and a little intimidating. It means I can no longer blame circumstances for my dissatisfaction or unhappiness. Instead, I have to take responsibility for the energy I bring into each moment. My thoughts are not random; they are seeds I’m constantly planting. And whatever I plant, I eventually harvest.
So, I am committing to planting better seeds. As I’ve heard it said in this course: the soil does not care what you plant. The soil may not care, but I do. My mind is fertile soil, and it deserves only the best organic seeds. And that I can control.

Etrulia — your insight into thoughts as energy opened my eyes. I appreciated how you connected thoughts with empowerment in such a clear, calm way. Your commitment to planting better seeds is genuinely inspiring. Thank you for sharing.
Isn’t so wonderful to realize our thoughts are so important. Great job!
