As the weeks go by, I’m reminded of something I’ve known intuitively for a long time, but have found it difficult to put into daily practice, to embody on a regular basis.
But I believe, at the deepest level – health, clarity, and vitality don’t come from effort or optimization – they don’t come from the right supplement or a magic diet change – they come from being authentic.
They come from living true to heart. From the place within us that already knows what is true before the mind starts interfering (usually from fear). This work isn’t about becoming better at doing, fixing, or striving, being more efficient or productive.
It’s about returning to our authentic self – not the version shaped by conditioning, expectations, or survival, but the one that exists beneath all of that. This is why I called my company ‘Healthy by Heart’ as I believe true health comes from this level of being and cannot come from only doing.
Haanel takes us further into this truth by shifting the emphasis away from action and toward understanding. And not an intellectual understanding, but the kind that settles into the body. The nervous system softens, feels safe. Decisions feel quieter, more coherent. Vagus nerve engaged.
This week, I was also listening to a Neville Goddard lecture, and the overlap felt more than just coincidental. Goddard speaks about living as if our desire is already our reality – embodying in the moment, not simply positive thinking, but as an internal state of conviction.
A real knowing with full faith. Zero doubt. And when the body recognizes something as true, behavior follows without force. We stop pushing and start inhabiting. One step leads to another and to another which is simply inspired, never forced, a natural flow.
Both Haanel and Goddard point to the same principle: we are meant to become congruent with what we are calling in. It is our mind – the ethereal spirit energy that is the ultimate manifester – and when thoughts, emotions, and actions are aligned, the body no longer sends mixed signals.
There is less grasping and from that state, life responds simply because we are no longer resisting it, we aren’t interfering. We relax into being – and allow it to flow to us.
We create our reality from this ethereal level of spirit which is where the word ‘inspired’ comes from. We take the energy from the ‘nothing’ and turn it into form.
This is where faith becomes embodied rather than conceptual. Faith shows up as steadiness in the nervous system. As the ability to stay present without constant reassurance.
As the willingness to act from trust rather than fear. When that alignment is sustained, we become receptive, a clear channel rather than an obstacle. We get out of our own way.
Sometimes the most powerful shifts isn’t and doing more but allowing the body to settle into what the heart already knows is true. I probably shouldn’t say ‘sometimes’ but ‘always’ and its what I continue to practice.
Its interesting to ponder that both fear and faith is the belief in the unseen. And we get to choose which one which shifts not only our physiology in the current state but the trajectory of our future.

It’s amazing how so many sources seem to confirm the MKE. While working on my own health journey…it is amazing how the modern day Gurus align with Wattles. Looking for harmony all over. Thanks for the post.
Deanne, I love your beautiful description on living with full faith in your body. Being what you love with zero doubt. Thank you for sharing this and your joy in “living true to your heart.”
What the heart already knows is true. We get to choose. Thank you Deanne
Great insight Deanne. The way you describe health, faith, and alignment comes from lived knowing, not theory. You can feel how settled this is in your body now. That steadiness you’re practicing isn’t just for you either—it’s shaping everything you touch. Keep choosing heart over effort.
“Health, clarity, and vitality don’t come from effort… they come from being authentic.” This. This is the core truth you’ve wrapped such profound wisdom around. Thank you, Deanne, for the potent reminder that our highest work is to get out of our own way and allow the heart’s knowing to lead. The embodiment piece is everything. Onward in trust!
This is great stuff, Deanne – you are living true to your heart!
