It is pretty amazing to me that Og Mandino wrote a book in 1968 and we’re still studying it today! I believe wholeheartedly in the power of autosuggestion having been introduced by Joe Dispenza and Napoleon Hill in the past.
However, it is SO EASY to fall back into the old patterns! It takes a lot of work shifting away from the old ways. But I find out the brain has “neuroplasticity” and can get it done!
Repetition helps by strengthening the new channels. It is so interesting and amazing to me!
Rewiring the brain is like learning a new instrument. My first two weeks have been a bit clunky learning those new chords, but now, I can play Row, Row, Row your Boat!
Repetition is key! Read and say aloud three times a day that “Failure will no longer be my payment for struggle” or that “I will form good habits and become their slave”. That’s very powerful and I’m reading it 3X per day!
I must say the hardest part for me is to be still for 15 minutes, but I am definitely getting better and doing it! I find that driving 30 minutes to work definitely help with hearing my DMP over my Bluetooth.
I get to work, and I try to sit another 15 minutes or read my index cards and DMP again. One of my sacrifices is to stop playing Sudoku and I am having a hard time. I love Sudoku, especially when I can play in a battle for time against someone else.
It’s getting easier though and I succeed. I’m stoked!

How great that you’re stoked, Carole! I’m so glad you’ve understood “neuroplasticity” and the effect when your dedication to “Repetition helps by strengthening the new channels.” Applause, applause.
