Making A Choice

As I have mentioned in my previous blog posts, I have often struggled with anxiety, depression, worry, and the like and have been successful in combating them through a daily habit of gratitude.

This week we are asked, during our sit to release, not only physical tension, but also mental tension. Releasing things like hatred, anger, worry, jealousy, envy, sorrow, trouble or disappointment.

Life is so weird.

How is it that I started this journey of spiritual growth and every step of the way this class is teaching me next what I am already thinking about??

Having spent so long in a “go go go!” state of mind, I find myself struggling with just sitting, releasing tension, relaxing, and releasing thoughts.

A 15 minute sit ends up taking me 45 minutes or more due to catching myself moving or my thoughts going crazy, but that’s the point, right? To be able to control my body and mind…

In the webinar at the point where we watched the video we were told that we would quit after watching the video, and by that quit giving half measures.

After watching that video I felt emotional about finally understanding what this thing is about. And I definitely find myself picking up the pace.

So, I’m making a choice – the choice to quit holding back, to push all my chips in, and give myself to this program wholeheartedly.

  • I can so relate to this. In the beginning, I had no idea how to sit still, and quieting the mind, was foreign. I am so grateful for these tools working in my life. You know what’s even more fun? I get to watch them work in others. Keep it up. You’re doing amazing!

  • Joe—your upbeat energy and clarity around the power of a decision to “give yourself to the program wholeheartedly” shine. Thank you for sharing.

  • Nicely Done, Joe. I have a very hard time sitting too😂! I’m glad you made that choice. Another Joe (Dispenza) wrote this great book: “Becoming Supernatural”-highly recommend! Keep it up, you’re doing great!

  • Hi, Joe. What a great job of putting hard-to-describe experiences into words here. I’m with you. That Week 4 Master Mind together was extremely powerful. I love the way you said it: “After watching that video I felt emotional about finally understanding what this thing is about. And I definitely find myself picking up the pace.” How could we not take advantage of the reality that we have the power to CHOOSE not to make today be a mirror copy of the brain chemicals we created yesterday? Cheering us, you and I and everyone in the Master Mind, on!
