The Woman in the Mirror
When you reach for your dreams and they start to unfold,
And you stand in your moment of grace,
Take time to look deep in the mirror of truth,
And smile at that beautiful face.
It isn’t the crowd or the cheers that you hear,
That show what your journey’s been worth,
But the woman who knows all the courage it took
To bring those dreams into birth.
She’s the one to honor, the one to please,
Her heart has guided you through,
And if she can say, “I’m proud of you, girl,”
Then the world will shine brighter for you.
You don’t need to prove or pretend or compare,
Your sparkle was there all along,
Each honest step and each loving choice
Has written your victory song.
For you can inspire the world through the years,
With kindness, with purpose, with grace,
And the greatest reward is the peace that you feel
When you smile at that woman’s face
