MKE Week 3 – The Enemy

This week’s Master Key reading of Part 3 has my inner scientist particularly engaged. I have previously heard that the gut is the second brain, but I have not heard about this solar plexus specifically. I am fascinated.

In this week’s Master Key reading, one paragraph has captured my attention.

…but the one arch enemy of the Solar Plexus which must be absolutely destroyed before there is any possibility of letting any light shine is fear. This enemy must be completely destroyed; he must be eliminated; he must be expelled forever; he is the cloud which hides the sun; which causes perpetual gloom. (Charles Haanel, Master Key System, Part 3, Paragraph 14)

But fortunately it doesn’t stop there. It continues:

It is this personal devil which makes men fear the past, the present and the future; fear themselves, their friends and their enemies; fear everything and everybody. When fear is effectually and completely destroyed, your light will shine, the clouds will disperse and you will have found the source of power, energy and life. (Charles Haanel, Master Key System, Part 3, Paragraph 15)

I remember (I think the Week 1 webinar) Davene talking about this. She emphatically said, “Not to just overcome fear, but to eliminate fear.”

So there has been some foreshadowing from Davene and a few more details here in the reading, but it has planted this seed of anticipation within me – an anxious expectation for what is to come.

It encourages me to keep doing these exercises that don’t always make sense with my sight set on the goal of eliminating fear and shining my light fully!

My grand imagination can’t help but wonder what things I would do, what impact would I make if fear simply didn’t exist in my life at all.

It’s easy to quickly say fear isn’t a factor, but if I really think about it, I believe there are many more things I would accomplish if fear were not present in my life.

Thus I am encouraged to be diligent with my readings, absorbing the content and adopting things into my daily life, fighting to link colors and shapes to chore cards and my DMP, trusting that eventually I will eliminate fear.

I refuse to simply rush through tasks, homework and readings because there is far too much at stake!

I am excited about this week’s sit – why? Because if I can calm my body and improve, support and strengthen the flow between conscious and subconscious, I will be taking the next step toward freedom from all fear, eliminating it from my life.

I don’t fully understand all this, but I’m seeing it mapped out before me and there’s no way I’m going to sit idly by wondering if it works. I’m all in. It is the desire for the end goal that helps me through all the tasks. Stay focused.

I can’t wait for that Karate Kid moment when it all comes together!

  • Amy — I appreciate how you reminded me that the fiercest battles often happen inside, and that recognizing them is a step toward freedom. Your leadership to happily stay in the process, even if you do not see the big picture yet, is inspiring.

  • I love this! In the beginning we must move forward with faith.
Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”
I define faith as standing on the edge of a cliff in total darkness being willing to step off knowing full well that someone will catch you or you will be taught to fly.

Faith and fear cannot coexist in the same mind. Both are a belief in something we do not see.

  • Well written Amy!

This can be perplexing in and off itself, but fear is and Always has been the crippling part of the human experience that begins to creep in as we get to those teen years.
In law enforcement, they taught us this one line which resonated deeply with me: unchecked fear, turns to anxiety and that can end anything.
So, maybe in a way, law enforcement was telling me that one day I’d come to the Master Key Experience and read and learn and finally understand what they tried to instill in us.
So when I read, and every time that I read again, those very words that you’ve shared in this blog, it reminds me of the truth and reality that we may eliminate fear and this become our own master of of our lives!

I’m pleased that you too have seen what I and many others have. Now the tricky part begins, eliminating it! But through the Master Key Experience, you have that advantage to do just that!
