I have been so excited to wake up each morning and sit for 20 minutes. It is a highlight of my day. The feeling of being totally relaxed and inhibiting all thoughts was difficult at first but after 3 weeks, it is such a blessing to have no thoughts bombarding me. As I listen to my breath each exhale brings more and more peace to my mind, body and spirit.
I have even noticed a difference throughout my day if a thought that does not align with my DMP and my values I am able to choose not to entertain it. What an amazing thing to learn and daily practice.
These tools should be taught in every public school and college so that all people, regardless of status can control their thoughts and be a critical thinker.
One other highlight of this week’s lesson is I get to practice letting my light shine. What a joy it is to be my authentic self and radiate courage, hope and love.
I know we are just getting started but I sit here in awe of this magnificent mechanism God has created that enables us to transform our life and the lives of others we interact with.
Section 17 of lesson 3 says: The world is harsh only as we fail to assert ourselves. The criticism of the world is bitter only to those who cannot compel room for their ideas. It is fear of this criticism that causes many ideas to fail to see the light of day.
The above statement blew me away because I was that man who was so focused on criticizing everything around me and fearful of what others may think of me if I share an idea.
I feel such a freedom to just be me and let others be them. I even imagine if this became the norm what our culture would look like today.
I am so excited for the lessons to come. Until next time, have a great week.

Keep chipping that cement. And Imagine!
Thanks, Michael. I too imagine a world where young people gain these skills early in life – how wonderful!
Share your ideas with confidence and enthusiasm, crack that cement and let subby show you the way forward.
Great blog.
The sit! Your morning sit, refreshing it must be…
To find that it’s the highlight of your day is huge and moving, because the sit is an essential part of the process.
Congratulations on your growth and evolution!
The sit is definitely an important key. Isn’t it amazing how a simple sit can have such an impact? Thanks for also sharing that quote from Haanel regarding criticism.
