This week’s task of writing down accomplishments seemed redundant at first because I already have a 3 ft stack of them over the years. Not being repetitive seemed unlikely until it dawned on me to just write out things I did this last year specifically. Before I knew it I had over 50 done.
I am also tardy on this week’s blog because we had our company Christmas party Friday. Being a business owner has lots of benefits (and lots of stress) but the greatest blessing of it all is to treat your team well and give them a big thank you during the holidays.
We have been in business for 17 years with many ups, and downs. Heartbreaks and success, feasted and famine. The last couple of years have been very good for us and we really took care of our employees by taking them to a 5-star dinner at the local casino, with a room for the night and $500 to gamble. An approximate cost of $25,000.
This year they got a $300 gift card a buffet dinner and we went bowling, maybe $5k total because we did half the revenue this year as to the previous three. My wife and I technically lost $60,000 this year. Still, everyone had so much fun and was very grateful for the evening and to work for our company. What a BLESSING!
Even though things have been challenging this past year I know in my heart we are going to bounce back and have an amazing year in 2026. Our PERSISTENCE keeps us moving forward which is something to be proud of.
We feed about 125 humans every day from our family, employees, suppliers, marketing team, etc…because of OUR business, which to me is our ultimate ACCOMPLISHMENT.
Everything I have created and accomplished is because my past self-did something for my present self. Why wouldn’t I keep up with all my good habits, so my future self has an even better experience in life, for himself, his family, and everyone in his life he will be able to help.
I am so grateful for that perspective.
Until Next Time……

Kris, this is a masterclass in true leadership and perspective! 👏 Your ability to celebrate your team meaningfully, whether with a 5-star dinner or a fun bowling night, shows that gratitude isn’t about the budget—it’s about the heart. To feed 125 people daily because of your business is the ultimate win. That focus on legacy, on doing things today for your future self and everyone you support, is incredibly powerful. Here’s to your persistence and an amazing 2026! 🚀🙌
That sounds like a lot to be proud of! Well done, and I am so impressed with the way you shared with the whole team!
