The Adventure Begins
As a child, I was slave to my impulses; now I am slave to my habits, as are all grown
men. I have surrendered my free will to the years of accumulated habit,s and the past
deeds of my life have already marked out a path, which threatens to imprison my
future. My actions are ruled by appetite, passion, prejudice, greed, love, fear,
environment, habit, and the worst of these tyrants is habit. Therefore, if I must be a
slave to habit let me be a slave to good habits. My bad habits must be destroyed and
new furrows prepared for good seed… Og Mandino – The Greatest Salesman in the World Scroll 1
The Adventure Begins…
“As within, so without.”
Lesson 2 of The Master Key System really hit home for me. It helped me realize that my most powerful tools are already within me—the lock is my mind, and the key is my will.
When I began practicing simply observing my thoughts and actions without judging them, I started to notice just how many of my habits were running on autopilot. That awareness was a turning point—it made me see that I could choose my life direction.
The more conscious I became, the more I could redirect my thinking with purpose. Instead of being pulled around by old conditioning, I began creating new patterns—ones that matched the kind of person I wanted to become and the life I wanted to experience.
It’s a daily practice of mental conditioning and intention, but every step strengthens that inner alignment.
And something beautiful happens when my thoughts, emotions, and actions all move together toward a clear vision—the outer world starts to shift too. Things flow more easily, the right people and opportunities show up, and I can feel that I’m not just drifting anymore.
I’m steering.

Kenneth, I’m struck by how you turned passive habit into purpose by simply watching your mind. Your clarity in becoming the “steerer” of your life inspired me to pause and own more of my inner voice. Well Done.
Kenneth, keep steering!
