I am hearing footsteps in the path that seem to be gaining on me constantly. Choices, decisions, unfulfilled dreams, promises not kept tasks incomplete or never started. Once the footsteps were at a distance to me vaguely or faintly heard. Now, it is as if they are in lockstep with my steps.

When I stop. When I begin to step in footsteps, does the same thing. I know I am not alone. I am closer to the completion of days than sunrises over the horizon waiting for the sunsets. Walking the path has so many memories, both good and bad. Laughter and tears, joy and pain.

This path patiently awaits us all because it is a part of the destiny, we all must take. I am so thankful that there are guides assigned to each of us with answers to questions we don’t even know we need to ask. They say wisdom is knowing when to speak and when to be silent.

Listen more and speak less they say. I am told there are no dumb questions. They encourage you to ask it, because someone else is waiting for you to ask the question they won’t.

The unknown will cause you to not go on the path, unforeseen obstacles, twist and turns gives way to fear, doubt, uncertainty and cold feet. I can hear a voice in the distance commanding not asking me “ Take the path, you need to trust, believe and move in the positive flow of what will carry you through the maze of life.

In conclusion the path was just the metaphor “ The journey of a thousand miles starts with just one step at a time”.
