Waterbury, CT— What began as a casual moment between a mother and her 22-year-old son transformed into a powerful mastermind that is now propelling the growth of a women’s ministry and igniting a renewed sense of purpose through the Master Key Experience.
When her son walked through the front door, she simply asked, “Can I pick your brain?” She expected tips and strategic advice for the business she had been building since February.
Instead, what unfolded was a visionary planning session that redirected her focus to something much deeper: WOVEN — Women of Valuable Endeavors Needling, the creative and spiritual community she has led for four years.
Her son—known for his adventurous spirit and entrepreneurial drive—has been building toward moments like this since childhood.
From topping popcorn sales in Scouts and selling handmade bracelets, to flipping thrift store finds online, day trading, launching small businesses with friends, leading his high school classes as president, and playing soccer internationally, he has continuously demonstrated a rare blend of work ethic and fearlessness.
By age 22, he had co-built a six-figure property management enterprise with his business partner.
Only in reflection did she realize the foundation of his character was shaped early on.
Together, they spent countless days knocking on doors fundraising for Scouts—long after he had earned the prize he wanted—driven by a shared belief that more sales meant more resources for the troop.
Those moments didn’t just teach discipline; they taught community, consistency, and heart.
During their conversation, instead of offering advice on her current business, he redirected the discussion entirely.
He pointed her back to the ministry she has faithfully stewarded—WOVEN—and began identifying its incredible potential for expansion, community impact, and long-term growth.
